Freedom of Information (FOI) & Ombudsman

The FOI Act (2021 Revision) gives the public a general right of access to all types of records held by Public Authorities in the Cayman Islands, with some exceptions. The main objective of the Act is to promote government accountability, transparency, and public participation in national decision-making. ESO is fully committed to the objectives of the law, and as a Public Authority, the Economics and Statistics Office (ESO) complies with the FOI Act.

This website forms ESO’s e-publication scheme developed in compliance with Section 5 of the FOI Act.

Note: Before submitting a FOI request, please check the ESO website carefully to see if the information you wish to request is publicly available. The email link and other documents below provide further guidance.
