The 2026 Occupational Wage Survey Commenced on October 8

The Economics and Statistics Office (ESO) began conducting the 2026 Occupational Wage Survey (OWS) among businesses and government departments on Thursday (October 8th).

The OWS collects data on employment and remuneration, as well as employee qualifications, immigration status, skills, hours worked, and type of employment.

This Survey will be used primarily to compile a biennial comprehensive employment and compensation database which can be used to assess employee compensation and benefits; establish the mix of occupations by immigration status as employed in the various industries; estimate the cost of labour in the Cayman Islands by occupation and industry; and analyse employee productivity by industry or sub-industries.

The database will be available to private- and public-sector employees and employers to review compensation in their respective industries.

The OWS is confidential. You are not required to identify your employees by name. In accordance with Section 8 of the Statistics Act (2016 Revision), individual returns will NOT be provided to parties outside the ESO. Only aggregated data will be published.

The survey can be completed either by filling out paper forms or electronically by downloading the Excel sheets or fillable PDF forms from the ESO website at www.eso.ky.

For further information on the survey, please visit www.eso.ky or contact the ESO at 516-3329, 949-0940.
