Fall 2007 Labour Force Survey Report Released

The ESO is pleased to release the Fall 2007 Labour Force Survey (LFS) Report which summarizes the results of LFS conducted by ESO among randomly selected households in October 7-November 12, 2007. Among the highlights of this edition of the LFS are as follows:

• The estimated population of Grand Cayman and Cayman Brac reached 53,886 as compared to 53,172 as of year-end 2006;

• The labour force is estimated at 36,476, comprising of the employed (35,081) and the unemployed (1,395).

•    The unemployment rate reached 3.8%.
