Compendium of Statistics
Introduction and Explanatory Notes
Introduction
The 2008 Compendium of Statistics contains more graphs, pictures and several new tables compared to earlier versions of the Compendium. There is also more text explaining the data. All this is meant to make the Compendium more user-friendly and assist the reader in using the figures correctly. These improvements were a result of the recommendations from the Statistics Section of the ESO comprising of Ronnie Andersson, Yvonne Newland, Julietta Beaupierre, Selburn Christian, Theodore Thompson and Narnia Ebanks, and Shanna Best of the Economics Section.
The work to implement the changes and produce the 2008 Compendium was assigned to Ronnie Andersson (text), Theodore Thompson (tables and graphs) and Narnia Ebanks (illustrations). Yvonne Newland and Selburn Christian assisted with the final editing by the Director.
The vision of the ESO for the Compendium of Statistics is to develop it into a Statistical Yearbook for the Cayman Islands and this version of the Compendium is a step closer to achieving this goal.
